Read This if You Don't Want to Traumatize Your Taste Buds Forever

Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls- would also like to include all Beings with consciousness,

I present to you, the most indulgent Vegan cookies on planet Steffane. I am sorry, I can't speak for other planets.

I am picky eater and I know I can't be the only one, and since my blog is meant to help at least one person, let's hope this post does it.

About my palette: I come from the Caribbean, I can stop here, but allow me to elaborate. The country that I was born in is made up of 6 ethnic groups; East Indians, Africans, Portuguese, Chinese, Amerindians (indigenous people), and Europeans.
As a result, we have a very diverse cuisine that has blended over the years into the most magical array of dishes imaginable. Long story short, I know taste, bitter, spicy, tart, sweet, you name it darling.

Ok, without further ado:

Best Vegan Cookie # 1:

Alternative Baking Company's Double Chocolate Decadence Cookie

I didn't want to include descriptions as I have provided direct links to the products but, I suddenly feel compelled to relive my eating experience of this bad boy above.
It's a fat, fluffy, chocolatey piece of what I imagine the walls of heaven are made out of. I haven't been able to eat an entire cookie in one sitting though I have tried. It is huge. You will have a chunk and be satisfied, it's THAT good, [though could be, childhood habit of saving my snacks for later progresses into adulthood, and this may not apply to you].

Go to your nearest Wholefoods or Co-op right now. Thank me later.

Best Vegan Cookie # 2:

Hands down, the best Vegan traditional chocolate chip cookie ever.

Best Vegan Cookie # 3:

Pamela's Dark Chocolate Chunk Cookies

The only downside to this option is the crumbs! I would rather that in my mouth than down my shirt, thanks.

Best Vegan Cookie # 4:

If you live in the Twin Cities, do check out Vegan East. There are two locations and they make some damn good Vegan treats. Highly recommend as a stop on your next date night.

Just a Vegan Cookie:

Oreos
Ok, I am a little torn about adding this here, especially since it says, "Milk's favorite cookie," (not gonna include the pic) but I'd rather you have a vegan snack when you are in a bind and just need a cookie. This situation will arise in a woman's life multiple times, PMS, pregnancy, when-you-make-a-last-minute-run-to-the-store-to-sneak-snacks-into-the-movies etc etc.

Special thanks to Adam Kado for introducing me to every cookie on this list minus the Oreo. I am still the cookie expert in our household though. Shoutout to me for loving these cookies and making them a regular part of our family.

The Mindful Detox -Setting of Intentions

"If you know better, do better." ...I am TRYING! Lately, I have ingested a great deal of new substances, both mentally and physically. Though most of the substance is nourishing, I find it tremendously important to take the time to detox and archive the newly received materials, otherwise, all good things received floats around with no perspective. New information needs to be archived correctly. My mindful detox will focus on my body, the vessel and my mind, the creative center. The vessel will be introduced to a fasting period. I met a girl on a plane ride recently that referred me to a book called, "The Longevity Study," In this book, the author studies many indigenuous tribes around the world who typically live past 100 years old. She told me how important fasting was, she said that normal cells, when starved will go into a state of hibernation to preserve itself, abnormal cells are not capable of doing this. The abnormal cells then struggles to survive i...

The Mindful Detox, Phase One -The Crib

Don't neglect the importance of tending to your nearby surroundings. Even non-living objects can hoard energy. Clean your space, get rid of that which does not bring you joy. Feeling joy in your surroundings will come in handy when you need the support to tear away from this societal construct. I know not every one of us is fortunate enough to have a home that is safe or peaceful or quiet. I urge you to make one place in your surroundings feel happy. You deserve it. Give yourself the love and support. You deserve it. Tonight, I will be focusing on my living room. It needs a little decluttering, dusting and my yoga mat and meditation center should be the only two things on the floor. Tomorrow, I am doing kitchen, laundry, bathroom and bedroom. I will get my candles going, my diffuser will have my favorite essential oils. Smell is important to me in my home. My grandma has a sign in her home that reads, "cleanliness is next to godliness." and I now understand what tha...
